About

The writing tool that GitHub Pages never had.

GitHub Pages is a wonderful place to keep a website. It's fast, it's dependable, and your site is just files that belong to you. But adding one new blog post means Markdown, front matter and a git push, and that's where most people who actually have something to say get stuck.

So usually a helpful friend ends up posting everything for them, or the site quietly goes stale.

writePage sits in the gap. The site stays exactly what it was, a set of files in a GitHub project. All we add is a calm place to write, with a Publish button at the end of it.

The same goes for the rest of the site. Changing the phone number on the home page shouldn't mean waiting on whoever built it, and a prayer wall or a contact form shouldn't need a server. So you can click any words on a page and change them, and visitors can write back, with your team deciding what goes on the site.

What we believe

Writers shouldn't need to be developers
If someone has to learn a tool before they can share a thought, the tool has already lost.
Your work belongs to you
Everything published is an ordinary file in your own project. Leaving costs you nothing.
Ask for as little as possible
Access is to one project at a time. Keys are encrypted, and you can revoke them whenever you like.
Keep it simple
Fewer moving parts means fewer things that can break on a Sunday morning.
